Student friendly success criteria will help you explain the requirements of the SEHS IA and will help students structure their papers.
Many teachers like to use a lab report template and/or a checklist; I have used both in the past but have found that it allow/causes students to “switch off” and stop using their own initiative and understanding of what their particular IA needs. This list of success criteria helps you and the students to check what needs to be present but does not do the work for them.
Use this in conjunction with the IA Comment bank to speed up marking and increase the quality of feedback.
